I’m new to Belotero Balance; how does it work?

The main ingredient is hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a naturally occurring substance in your skin. With HA, this dermal filler is able to bind well and provide a soft, durable texture. By binding to the water in your epidermis, Belotero Balance is the perfect injectable for areas of the face where volume has been lost.* As we age, we tend to lose volume around our mouths and in our lips.

What can I expect during my appointment?

During your consultation, it will be determined if Belotero Balance is right for you. If it is part of your treatment plan, it will be injected into areas of the face using a very fine needle. Treatments are often single-sessions and most patients experience pain that is similar to any other injection treatment.* The amount of injectable gel used and the placement of the injections will vary, depending on your needs and facial structure. We may offer to apply a topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort during the session.*

Some redness, mild swelling and slight discomfort may occur at the injection sites, but these symptoms should fade within a few days.*

What can I expect from the results?

Your results should be immediate and they generally last for several months.* Belotero Balance may be the only filler used, or it might be used in conjunction with other treatments. You should expect smoother skin and/or lips, as well as added volume and fullness to the areas around your mouth.*
